A woman's Touching Speech

There were 10 men & 1 woman hanging on to a rope that extended down from a helicopter. However, the weight of 11 people was too much for the rope. So the group made a decision that one of them had to jump off.

However, there were no volunteers from the men. Finally, the lone woman volunteered. She gave a touching speech, saying that she would sacrifice her life to save the guys, because women were so used of giving up things for their husbands and children.

When she finished speaking……….all the men started clapping.

Something to share……

Hi guys. We may have a good laugh of the joke but that’s the high price we have to pay when we loss our focus and divert our attention from what we are doing.

In a crucial situation, we must have the discipline to ignore distractions and reject bad influences that might put us in a very risky position.

Nonetheless, concentration requires discipline and plenty of practice to acquire the art of focusing our mind and energy on what we are doing. Don’t ever get distracted! A person must always stay focused and concentrate on what he/she does in order to achieve the best results (or to survive).

Once we let go our hands, that’s the end of it. We FALL and we are DEAD!

Good joke.Yes, we must focus towards our goal. Many a time people to lose focus on their goals. For instance, we always digress from what we're arguimg or discussing about. We tend to go out of point and bring in some thing else. Malaysia aims to be a developed country by 2020, but are we going in the right direction? To be developed doesn't mean infrastures only. People's mindsets must be developed so as to cast away negative attitudes. We must train our citizens to care for the environment and not to destroy public property. We can spend millions to build beautiful highways and other facilities, but if we do not maintain them properly, they will rot as we have witnessed all the time. Children playground built with public funds are left to rot with tall lallangs not cut. Nobody uses them bc they are in a deplorable condition. Leaking pipes are not repaired and much precious H20 wasted and we all the time asked not to waste water. The people in charge are not bothered with leaking pipes even they get reports from civic minded citizens like me for example. I have made several reports of leaking water pipes to the Lipis JPA, but no action has been taken so far. The pipes have been leaking for more than a year! Imagine how much money wasted. Now the JPA charges RM1 for rental of meter each month in order to get more funds bc they say they are not making money. So u see, my friend, it's a classic example of misfocusing. As Martin Luther King Jr says,"We have guided missiles, but misguided people."
Food for thought for 2008.
" Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is the present --- a gift from God. Amen.
